Interior design and thoughtful refurbishment for London homes.

We work with existing homes to improve space, light, materials and the way people live in them — from interior design and renovation strategy to furnishing and final styling.

London

A new chapter for TERA Vivir.

TERA Vivir is expanding its residential design practice into London, bringing an approach shaped by architecture, interiors and the transformation of existing homes.

Our work starts by understanding what is already there — the proportions, light, materials and character of a property — before deciding what genuinely needs to change.

How we can help

Four pathways, depending on what your home needs.

Residential Interior Design

Spatial planning, materials, lighting, furniture and a coherent design direction for the home.

Explore Residential Interior Design

Refurbishment Design

Design-led thinking for homes that need more significant physical change, from reworking layouts to kitchens, bathrooms, finishes and architectural details.

Interior Styling

Furniture, lighting, textiles, art and final composition for homes that do not require a full refurbishment.

Property Presentation

Design and styling support for homes being prepared for sale, rental or market presentation.

Explore Property Presentation

Start with the home that already exists.

We are interested in transformation rather than replacement for its own sake. Existing proportions, materials, details and traces of a building’s history can become part of a contemporary interior rather than obstacles to it.

The aim is not to impose a signature look, but to create a home that feels resolved, useful and specific to the people living there.

Existing homes, contemporary ways of living.

Layout

Reconsidering rooms and circulation to respond to contemporary daily life.

Light

Understanding how layout, surfaces and openings influence available natural light.

Materials

Creating a coherent relationship between existing fabric and new interventions.

Kitchens and bathrooms

Treating functional spaces as part of the overall design rather than isolated upgrades.

Storage

Integrating practical storage without allowing it to dominate the architecture.

Designed between Barcelona and London.

Our London work can combine remote design development with in-person project stages where required. The exact working model depends on the scope, location and project team.

For refurbishment projects requiring local statutory, architectural, engineering or construction services, we work alongside the appropriately appointed UK professionals.

Victorian Property, Hampstead Heath
London, United Kingdom

Victorian Property, Hampstead Heath

Reimagining the interior of a protected Victorian property in Hampstead Heath. The historic facade was preserved and restored in line with local planning requirements, while inside, a collection of furniture and objects gathered by the client sits against a calm backdrop of natural timber, stone and clean contemporary lines.

Interior DesignRefurbishment
Writing Retreat
London, United Kingdom

Writing Retreat

A quiet retreat designed for writing and reflection, where the architecture sits gently within its garden setting. A single open volume, microcement surfaces and a fireplace as the focal point create a calm, contemplative interior.

Interior DesignRefurbishment

A design-led approach to residential change.

Architecture first

We begin with space, proportion, light and how the home needs to function.

One design language

Layout, materials, furniture and styling are developed as parts of the same idea.

Thoughtful intervention

We look for what should change, but also what is worth keeping.
